Get out into the wide-open spaces of the Klein Karoo for a photographic country adventure. The raw beauty of the area will appeal to those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, or just those who want to improve their photographic skills. The area is ideal for landscape photography as it has both the open expanses of the desert and also the towering mountains of the Swartberg Range.
The workshops include:
Nature photography of the local vegetation and also the animals on the farm which include bat-eared foxes, horses and donkeys.
An early morning photo shoot closer to the Swartberg Mountain ranges.
Street and architectural photography in the town where a short talk on the history of the quaint village will be presented.
Astro photography on one of the evenings, where the awesome stars of the Karoo will beam down.
You will visit a local wine farm and so no experience is wasted, learn the art of product photography.
Learn some drawing skills to improve your creativity and enhance your appreciation of lines and outlines in photography.
You will learn new skills in photo editing as we work together for the final evening presentation of your work. If all this sounds hectic, there will be free time to unwind and experience the majesty of the open spaces.
You will also hear a short talk on animal advocacy from the famous Chris Mercer, visionary of the organisation Campaign Against Canned Hunting.
